Hi All:
Didja ever notice how, when an IBMer mentions Apple/MAC in less than
hushed, reverent tones, some people act all hurt and affronted like
they've been personally attacked and they immediately assume a defensive
stance and they're ready to fight over almost nothing or anything? And
didja ever notice that when the Apple worshippers moan about what a
bunch of unenlightened weenies the IBMer's are, it just hardly bothers
the IBMer's at all? Sheesh! Let the platform wars continue! Anyway,
never mind my recent rant about how different platforms display
differently. Just forget it. I had no right. Silly me for even
mentioning it. Besides, your comments convinced me that there's just no
way to please both factions anyway. To those of you who responded
constructively, thanks. To those of you who interpreted it as knocking
the MAC (gasp), get over it. I wasn't knocking "the MAC", I was knocking
a particular, individual, MAC. I've seen particular, individual, IBM's
which look just as s----y. I guess I was just a little concerned
yesterday about how I would ever satisfy this new client if he had to
view my efforts on that particular computer. Oh, well.
