Yoffie is the co-author of ``Competing on Internet Time,'' a book that examines the growth of Netscape Communications Corp. and its battle with Microsoft Corp. The book, which takes a sympathetic but critical look at Mountain View-based Netscape, became controversial last month when Microsoft went to court -- unsuccessfully -- to obtain the tapes and notes of Yoffie and his co-author, MIT Professor Michael Cusumano.
