Um... yes, I guess. Or at least Qualcomm certainly hasn't sold Eudora to 
anyone.  The company has, however, crawled into bed with Microsoft on 
an unrelated venture, "WirelessKnowledge LLC".  This is a joint undertaking 
between the two companies to develop products related to "Internet and 
corporate network access over a range of wireless devices including 
handhelds, desktops, notebooks , smart phones, pagers, smart TVs, and 
Web kiosks."

So I suppose they've "sold out" to Microsoft, by many people's criteria.  
However, this announcement was only made last week, so I can't imagine 
it's had much impact on the quality of their current product line yet, 
somehow.
