Sorry it didn't work for you.  I send addresses that way a lot and no one has
ever complained before; I wonder where the problem lies?  In Netscape I just
drag the little icon next to the address in the browser window to the text area
of the message I'm composing and it drops an HTML formatted link in place.  When
I send the message it asks if it should be HTML & text and I always answer yes
-- assuming the "text" part will cover those who don't get HTML email.  Have you
a clue what's not working?  I guess it must be on your end?  My students who use
both Macs and PCs don't have trouble with this technique (at least they don't
complain) so I figured it was quite universal.
