TJ, yes, Trinity sounds like a good company, well thought-out and
organized. When I used to have my ad agency/design firm in North Carolina,
we used to do a lot of design work for Epley Associates, a Charlotte PR
firm as well as for corporate communications depts. within First Union Bank
and several hospitals. Joe Epley is very well-connected and was
tremendously helpful in setting up introductions to a lot of other PR
department people for me. So, besides doing a lot of outrageously creative
design for print & broadcase advertising media, I've walked the other side
of the fence dealing with lots of corporate communications types.

Some time ago I exchanged emails with Joe Epley and he told me that his
firm has an in-house web design department. You might try to find Epley
Associates on the Web to get an idea of what they do, the flavor of their
work, the types of clients they list, etc. I don't have the URL but I'm
sure you can search it easily. Joe is a big mover-shaker in the PR field,
has been national president of their professional organization, etc., so I
imagine that what Epley does is prototypical of the corporate
communications field, though possibly a little more straight-laced than
Trinity. It is also quite possible that he and the Trinity people know each
other, so it might not hurt to mention that you've researched Epley as part
of your research for Trinity.

I used to teach whitewater canoeing alongside Joe for our Charlotte canoe
club, where his background as a Green Beret often leaked through. I wonder
if military and intelligence backgrounds are common to the field :) ?

Good luck in your quest for a 'real' job! Personally, I prefer contracting.
