actually, based on a quick scan of the features list, it looks like
standard ISDN technology.

IIRC, the full voice/data/fax thing requires a box coming out of the wall
that amounts to an ISDN router, and all your active components (the phone,
modem & fax) have to know how to speak the appropriate protocol.   of
course, it's probably been two years since the last time i looked at the
relevant specs, so i can hardly claim to speak with authority.

at that time, the boxes were all pricey ($1K+ total investment), but if
Moore's Law has held for that tech sector, they should be a lot easier on
the wallet by now.
