I cannot believe you actually told your bank manager about a CREDIT mistake,
scruples or what!!!.  How many banks tell us about the fractional errors
they make, and I am sure the Y2K and our new Euro, getting ready for
accounting kick-off on 1st January,  is included in creating more.

But the new Euro guys are limiting conversion rates upto 6 decimal places.

PS. does anybody know if there is and ascii equilivant for Euro currency
sign?

It's design is like a capital 'C' with 2 horizontal bars crossing it in the
middle.   eg the sum of 'C'  and '='
