yes -- MSIE even more than NN has taken browser forgiveness (ie, let's
interpret what the designer REALLY meant) to new levels.

talk about making it hard to teach proper table structure in my HTML class!
MSIE renders a table even w/out the closing TRs and TABLE tags!!

and i had to rant and rave about this with some "database" pages that tech
writers were building at boeing. they were putting complete front page
files INSIDE a template -- i had some with three sets of starting body
tags. and none of the damn browsers broke. not even the 3.x versions.

bah. humbug.
