Here's the list/note that I send out to people:
This is a HOAX.
Please do not forward virus warnings around the 'net via mail, news
or anything else unless you've PERSONALLY verified their authenticity.
The same goes for urban legends (like the PBX exploit that's making
the rounds) and chain letters (which are against the AUP of most
institutions anyway).
If you receive one of these kinds of messages and you'd like to find
out more about it, then consult any of:
Computer Virus Myths Home Page at
http://kumite.com/myths/
The Urban Legends Web Site at
http://www.urbanlegends.com
Dr. Solomons Hoax Page at
http://www.drsolomons.com/vircen/hoax.html
Urban Legends Reference Pages at
http://www.snopes.com
Datafellows Hoax Warnings at
http://www.Europe.Datafellows.com/news/hoax.htm
If by some chance you've forwarded this particular virus warning
onto others, then please send them this followup as well. I've
CC'd everyone that got a copy of the notice when I did.
