We each start out as clueless idiots... and learn the hard way to look
for clues. Admittedly, some sooner than others.
And sometimes, due to machine name changes, moderator vacations, etc.,
attempts to subscribe or un-subscribe fail repeatedly. I've been on a few
lists that nearly went ballistic when several people could not unsubscribe
while the moderator was unavailable for a few weeks.
