I spent two hours tonight attempting to REGISTER at the MSFT site so that I could find new drivers for Windows 98 -- and you can't download updates w/out registering. I was using Netscape Communicator on a PC -- and after a dozen "peer reset" errors ... I fired up MSIE to see if that would be better. Actually, it was worse, ie, I couldn't even get to page one of the "new registration" form. and when I tried to get it to find me, it had the same "peer reset" error that i got in Netscape. (it occurred to me late in the game that i might have actually registered there once before). SO.... rhetoric here ... how can a web site that consistently has snafus like this (horror stories of trying to download the service pack for NT abound) ... that apparently runs on MSII and ASP .... not serve as a deterrant to others using this platform and software?? BTW -- Win98 is amazingly yucky. click on the recycle bin and have it FILL your screen -- with a little left hand 'browser like' explanation/navigation bar -- the files you're deleting are in the right hand pane. Click the hypertext link to restore or delete the files. GAG. this is as bad as Bob. And whatever version of MSIE comes with it has a MSN button in the upper right hand corner -- flashing away. You can't drag the MSN icon off the desktop into the trash - you can only remove it using Norton Uninstall (at least Dan said he'd tried the windows uninstall without success). Hey - maybe getting Outlook and Exchange and MSN off the system is what made his WinFax work <g>. kathy -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kathy E.
