I was surfing though professional (cough) websites today after searchin yahoo for various locals and I noticed that a large number, prolly 95% of them, sucked so royally that if they were vaccuum manufacturers theyd put Hoover out of business. I went back and looked at some of my stuff and some of the emails ive gotten regarding my work and was rather pleased. One way for a designer to know if hes halfway decent or not is when (as much as it sucks for people to do so) you start seeing you logos and websites in other peoples portfolios. With the 10k + hits a month im getting, it helps me to finally see that my work is going some where. I have a question (or more) for you all..... Rate yourself as A DESIGNER on a scale of 1 - 10 Rate your best SITE/LOGO/GRAPHIC on a scale of 1 - 10 and then explain what you think your strongest abilities are. This sounds pretty cheesy, but if any of us ever need to find ssomeone to pick up the slack on project, this could help. Anyway, just an idea.
