Note the lack of difference between the new, expensive chip [PIII-560] and the Celeron
300A/464 -- and this is for Quake <!> -- and supposedly this new chip is optimized for
games?

Our advice: If you're thinking about buying a PIII, consider two things. First, wait
until there's a reason. It's going to be a while (pessimists say never) before SSE
catches on from a software standpoint, and the .18 micron process is key to the PIII
moving away from the pack of wolves we've seen represented here. Second, send us some
money, because if you're even thinking about buying a PIII right now after reading
this, you have gotta be freaking loaded.
Would be interesting to see if there is any performance improvement with business
applications or web server or mail server or DB processing ....
