I find the whole KDA/doorway page thing interesting. I use the Keyword
Density Analyzer from http://www.grsoftware.net/grkda.html to analyze pages
-- it's interesting to look at your competition's pages and see how they
compare to yours where keywords are concerned.
I've been experimenting with "doorway" pages (pages geared toward a
specific keyword phrase) and although the KDA says the pages I've created
are winners, I just can't seem to get them to show up in the SEs. Driving
me crazy, it is. I have two clients I'm doing this for, and in both cases
I've gotten only one of three doorway pages to show up in one of my six
targeted search engines. Not a good ratio. So, if I was a baseball player,
I'd be back in the minors as bat boy by now....
