The Details: The Linux Playpen will be launched at a party hosted by GraphOn, but including co-sponsors Corel, HCC, Red Hat, and Oracle the first night of the LinuxWorld Expo. The Playpen will give everyone a chance to test drive GraphOn's software remotely, without having to download or install any host software. Location: Across the street from the San Jose Convention Center in a ballroom at the Hyatt St. Claire. Timing: March 2, 1999 at 7:30 directly after Linus Torvalds keynote address. Theme: Come join us in the Linux Playpen. Co-sponsorship of Linux-oriented vendors including GraphOn, Corel, Red Hat, Oracle, HCC, and other affiliated or independent developers/vendors. Tabletop exhibits promoting each co-sponsor's Linux-oriented offerings. Raffling off prizes every 30 minutes (prizes include a 3ft stuffed penguin from Corel and a NetWinder Linux server from HCC). Ambiance/Food: Live light jazz, buffet/Italian hors d'oeuvres, full bar. :) Each vendor will have a table to exhibit their products and technologies.
