1. Ignore them until you receive the communication in hardcopy.  Email
is easily and trivially forged, and at the moment, nobody who's serious
sends legal documents via email.

2. If they do bother to send it in writing, then refer them to your attorney.

3. Their argument that you should remove a *link* is ridiculous.  Have
your attorney tell them "no" and if they file litigation, counter-sue
for 10X the money.  Of course, all this does is clog the courts and
make the lawyers wealthy, but idiots who are stupid enough to demand
that you remove a link are almost certainly too stupid to understand
how foolish they've being.

4. If you don't want to go that route, simply rehost the page in question
someplace with deep pockets, preferably somewhere outside the reach
of US law.
