when talking to small business - I make the "yellow pages" analogy. In other words, 
how are people going to *find* your business ... I see the web as the yellow pages of 
the future, and one that isn't geographically-restricted. And a simple web page - 
which is then listed in local "onlinr guides" - is imperative for restaurants and 
retailers, imo.

This is different from "e-commerce" (ie, retail moves to the web).

I see the medium as a communications/community-building one, not strictly a 
'transaction' one.

Most of the $ to be made online will be, IMO, business-to-business commerce & ***cost 
reduction*** [somewhere there's some data on how much $ technology companies are 
saving by having online tech support - may be a gartner report]
