Ooh, thanks for reminding me... I'm giving a presentation to the
National Capital Editors Association (or some such) in a couple of
weeks, on the topic of "Transferring Text and Images Via Various
Electronic Media".
I gather the Association wants me to talk about the many and
confusing methods of compressing/encoding files for transmission over
the net, on diskette, as e-mail attachments, and so on. This would
entail topics like Base64, Binhex, MIME, ZIP, etc etc.
I'm kind of rusty on a lot of this stuff... any suggestions for good
reference sites on such topics? Doesn't have to be just PC, by the
way... Mac, Unix and other info gladly accepted.
