We use Wingate (www.wingate.com) to connect our 4 pc's to the net via one
cablemodem
Having said that, I really don't know how to configure it for getting
things from the Mac.
I do know that usually the proxy server is located on the machine which has
the conneciton to the outside world. After that, the other machines just
connect via their internal network. For instance, my machine is not the one
with the modem - i specify "direct internet connection" and voila - i'm
hooked up.
We don't use Linux, btw ;)
