Don't know if I can give you any ideas, but I will say 95% of our
business comes from the Internet, with the majority of that folks
we never meet (last year it was 97%). And it's enough to support
10 people in a style in which we have become accustomed ;-).
We do a lot of marketing via press releases, search engine
submissions and paid advertisements We also participate in
newslists. I am on over 130, in addition to moderating
E-tailer's Digest and guest moderating two others. One of my
partners is on many different lists also. We do generate business from them.
Trading of ads also works, as do links on other sites. last
count we were linked on 234 sites. Affiliate programs work --
ours and those we subscribe to. We pay 20% for our Automated
Press Releases and we receive anywhere from 8% to 25% from
others. With one we get paid for every new member they sign up,
and it generates a lot of revenue.
