Hello list, i installed cyrus with postfix and mysql AND web-cyradm.
I simply cannot log in to web-cyradm! When i type username and password and press enter i am just on a fresh login screen again.
So i searched the lists and found some php Problems so i thought maybe this is it there was a problem:
the DB.php could not be found by web-cyradm so i copied the file to web-cyradm/lib and shablam no more error messages from php but still the same problem - CANT LOG IN!!!
I tryed all the different settings for encryption and by now let everything on default! so mail and secret bzw cyrus and secret are usrname and password. I tryed to test the install via
telnet localhost 25 - WORKS and cyradm --user cyrus --server localhost --auth plain WORKS also in my file /etx/pam.d/imap the encryption is set to 1 whatever thath means (shadow or md5 or what?) When i use the scripts from the web-cyradm/scripts folder to setup the database there is a strange behaviour - i have to overwrite the password for cyradmin secret with secret bevore i am able to login to cyrus IS THIS the problem?! I heard thath mysql changed the way they deal with passwords in there new version of mysql / already had problem through this but am not sure if this is the same problem here?
