Hello,
1) client machine can resolv the hostname ns.edu.XXX and it get mail by
pop/imap protocol.
Telnet check is also O.K.
See:
telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 ns.edu.haifa.ac.il ESMTP Postfix
mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 Ok
rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 Ok
data
354 End data with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF>
Subject: Test SMTP mail
.
250 Ok: queued as 21E68CF3F
quit
221 Bye
Connection closed by foreign host.

But I still think that there may be something wrong with my main.cf or local
smtp config.
Do you?

2) When I created new user, I've sent him a test mail.
Its arrived and I got it through POP protocol.
Went to /var/lib/imap/user/s and it was empty.
So, I don't get it, where the server saved arrived emails for that user at
first?

Regards,
Leon

That's a problem with Kmail or the client itself. Check if the client machine
(of Kmail) can resolv the hostname ns.edu.XXX and try a telnet to the box with
port 25 und check if there comes a reply.
