Thanks for reply Dale ..

I have all cyrus-sasl packages installed, and I have the same version as you. I changed my /etc/pam.d/imap with your suggestions (Why change you 'auth sufficient' with 'auth required'?).
And I also checked /etc/sysconfig/saslauth: It contains MECH=pam.

But I obtain the same error.

I don't know why mysql authenticate users OK and cyrus-imapd does not. Logs are the same.
I think there is a problem with some library or package.
A few weeks ago, I installed a system with fedora core 4, cyrus-imapd, mysql, pam, postfix, etc .. and everything works fine. Config is the same in this machine (OK, perhaps it is not so equal :-) ) and something fails when cyrus system tries to authenticate over pam-mysql.

Is there any problem with a system that works over pam-sasldb2 and now works over pam-mysql?? The system works fine over pam-sasldb2 .. I have missed something in some config file, I`m sure, but What have I missed? That's the question ..
