Hi Michael, I can't use pam_mysql because pam_mysql has some memory leaks in version 0.5 and newer versions won't compile with mysql 3.23. I knew starting saslauthd with -n0 resolves the problem, but i have many simultaneous connections and i don't want to lose much performance. So the only options is upgrade mysql to version newer than 3, or use auxprop and the simpler way for me is to use auxprop instead of pam_mysql. I hope you can give me some examples for sasl auxprop.
I don't use the old style because it is the "newer" way and will be supported by postfix in all future versions. Maybe support for the old way will be dropped someday and i update my server and did not read about the change.....
