Hi all, i need some informations and explanations about some tests and happenings. After the installation of some servers with postfix-cyrus-mysql-pam-web-cyradm(which we're very happy with) we had to face a very serious problem. The installation on a Suse 9.3 Professional server (see underneath) was having serious problems of slowlyness and time-out when users were trying to download their mail with a pop client. The simultaneous connections established were low and inadequate. Therefor we downloaded postal-0.92 software which (they say) is great for banchmarking on POP and SMTP. Below you can see the tests we made, with the corresponding server's hardware, Operating System and installed packages. From the tests it seems that an old DL320(the smallest among servers) gives better performance. Does somebody have an idea or suggestion for understand and solve the problem? Thank you.
