Hi,

In case your machine does not have enough entropy, you can install rngd (random 
number generator) and run it before cyrus. This should solve this problem.

We had a similar problem, very strange: After a reinstall on a server that
had been working fine for months, we had terrible timeouts on POP
connections. It took us weeks to track the problem down and resolve it. It
was as easy disabling APOP in cyrus.
