i´m using a beta version of web-cyradm now and everything works fine.

with the latest stable and a cvs version of web-cyradm everything works
fine. i can use a dot in the username e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED]

i think this doesn´t work correctly because you just allow a-z and 0-9. i
looked at the code. some users want to use special characters e.g. '?' or
'%'.

i mean that you should provide a standard table layout like you already
have. but for advanced users there is no central configuration file where
they can specify a mapping to an alternative database schema/layout. e.g.
instead of using a table named accountuser with column username use a table
named mailbox with column user. have a look at the horde project. in some of
the modules you can specify where to lookup the needed information. this is
is much more flexible.
