Hello, have you try to increase the loglevel to see what happens if a mail arrives your postfix mta?

Right now we are using greylisting / spamassasin / antivirus and so on, but, now spammer are gentting really more "smart": if a spammer use a real SMTP bypass the greylist, and if the mail is well formatted it may by-pass also the spamassasin. It's quite normal, but the point is, if a large number of email are send to a non existing user these email are processed and only at the end a mail form MAILER DEAMON is send for a not existing user... so a lot of mail, more than 2500 in some server a day, are processed... and in some case the queue is really overloaded. In my opinion the only solution is to use a Rejecting Unknown Local Recipients policy, I'm trying but is not simple. Does anyone have and share the right configuration for a web-cyradm server based? The problem is how to use the local_recipient_maps I try something like: local_recipient_maps = mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-local_recipient_maps.cf $transport_maps virtual_alias_maps = mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual.cf [mysql-local_recipient_map.cf] # the user name and password to log into the mysql server hosts = localhost user = mail password = secret # the database name on the servers dbname = mail # the table name table = accountuser # select_field = username where_field = username but it doesn't work Any help???
