I know what is meant by Andrea. If you followed the Howto at web-cyradm you have every domain set as mydestination, which means this is not a virtual domain.
Therefore you can send to each and every user that is known at this computer (e.g. uucp, amavis, www-data). I am not sure whether this is happening because of rewriting adressess for amavis, try the following: Check your /etc/passwd for a user, try to send an email to this [EMAIL PROTECTED] uucp or postfix are good guesses. Instead of being rejected as user unkown the mail is accepted and later (after content filter) bounced while trying to delivery to the mailbox (with mailbox does not exist). The correct solution would not even accept this email. I have not found out what is causing this error, if youcan reproduce i would be glad if you can post your main.cf/master.cf My log: Aug 12 12:14:23 XX postfix/smtpd[9759]: 6820AF384FE: client=cp664442-b.gelen1.lb.home.nl[84.28.206.74] Aug 12 12:14:24 XX postfix/cleanup[9817]: 6820AF384FE: message-id=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Aug 12 12:14:25 XX postfix/qmgr[32206]: 6820AF384FE: from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, size=27948, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Aug 12 12:14:26 XX postfix/smtpd[9759]: disconnect from cp664442-b.gelen1.lb.home.nl[84.28.206.74] Aug 12 12:14:33 XX amavis[9805]: (09805-02) Passed SPAM, [84.28.206.74] [186.188.180.199] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, quarantine: spam-mUak5rwJQCA0.gz, Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, mail_id: mUak5rwJQCA0, Hits: 21.661, queued_as: 6973EF384FD, 7724 ms Aug 12 12:14:33 XX postfix/smtp[9823]: 6820AF384FE: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, relay=localhost[127.0.0.1]:10026, delay=17, delays=9.5/0.02/0/7.7, dsn=2.6.0, status=sent (250 2.6.0 Ok, id=09805-02, from MTA([127.0.0.1]:10025): 250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 6973EF384FD) Aug 12 12:14:33 XX postfix/qmgr[32206]: 6820AF384FE: removed Aug 12 12:14:33 XX cyrus/lmtpd[9835]: accepted connection Aug 12 12:14:33 XX cyrus/lmtpd[9835]: lmtp connection preauth'd as postman Aug 12 12:14:33 XX postfix/pipe[9833]: 6973EF384FD: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, relay=cyrus, delay=0.1, delays=0.05/0/0/0.04, dsn=5.6.0, status=bounced (data format error.
