it's just another "great promises" project abandoned because the community lacks support. Having to do such a thing for 5 interested users is never going to be fascinating enough to maintain it actively.
BTW, I really don't see the point of the post....... you can place the gluon folder wherever you like (or insert into the sys.path) and use from gluon.dal import DAL, Field without too many worries. It's one of the most decoupled modules in web2py already (except of course for needed "drivers" that you need to connect to your preferred backend). <rant mode> The sad truth is that web2py has lots of demanding users and a couple dozens active contributors, and - at least - up until now, that couple dozen already tried to get "public" interest going and never got any response **even** for the "should be interested demanding users".... <exxagerate rant> not even testing the code or reviewing the documentation Slowly, I just lost the point of wasting hours in supporting something that I don't need just to make a couple users happy. That being said, if it's something that at least I need, I always contributed back into web2py the new features, and I'll probably continue this way. </exxagerate rant> </rant mode> ^_^ -- Resources: - http://web2py.com - http://web2py.com/book (Documentation) - http://github.com/web2py/web2py (Source code) - https://code.google.com/p/web2py/issues/list (Report Issues) --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "web2py-users" group.
