want to know basic method for displaying data in nav bar. For example,
what is syntax for including something like this in nav bar:
<span style="color:gray">{{=numberOfFriendRequests}} friend requests for
{{=auth.user_id}}</span>
and how to add a tiny envelope icon if possible
