Meteor is using Discourse <http://www.discourse.org/> (self-hosted), as are a number of other open source communities, such as ReactJS, Mozilla, and ElasticSearch (also used by New Relic and How-To Geek).
I like it and even suggested it here <https://groups.google.com/d/msg/web2py-developers/URZXgrilNzg/B0A2mJM9a_4J> as a possible alternative to Google Groups when the web interfaces stopped working, but I'm not sure it is really any more easily searched than Google Groups.
