@web2py-developers we have discussing the possibility of dropping support for Python 2.4. So far we have put a great effor t in having web2py run on 2.4 because this is the default python version on CentOS for shared hosts. Yet by dropping support we could improve the code base, make it more readable and expose new syntax to users.
