Similar with me as well. Dreamhost comes with 2.4 and 2.5 is what I
installed to work with my existing code.

I´m using CentOS on all my servers but I have nothing against
dropping 2.4 support as I have allways installed python 2.5 or 2.6

@web2py-developers we have discussing the possibility of dropping
support for Python 2.4. So far we have put a great effor t in
having
web2py run on 2.4 because this is the default python version
on CentOS
for shared hosts. Yet by dropping support we could improve the
code
base, make it more readable and expose new syntax to users.
Who strongly opposes? Make your case.
