I have used the columns-argument to set the display columns and the 'fields' argument to define the search fields for the search function.
I only wanted to display 2 columns of a table but about 15 fields to be searchable eg. '* parent_organisation contains america'.* Now if 'parent_organisation' is not spesified in 'fields' I get a 'invalid query' result. It worked well.
