Rhys, To add on to Anthony's comments - it is both easy to extend/override web2py functionality if you desire it. I have found the group to be very accepting of my suggestions, and Massimo even takes my patches! so it's active and flexible. check out http://web2py.com/poweredby ....many of those sites/applications are not going away anytime soon.
