I feel the same, probably I'm getting old too, and didn't notice :) I prefer newsgroups where one can have a choose how to read it. Another good reason to newsgroups are the archives. For example the following discussion (from 1992): https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.sys.atari.st.tech/ADwk_y6-nYg/discussion has served to invalidate a microsoft patent. There were several articles on the net about it, just google "how linus torvalds busts microsoft patent" Using a newsgroup, probably in 2032 I can show some of our discussions to my children (or grandchildren) and have some good moments of laughing. Using stackoverflow, I'm not sure if I can have those moments :) Newsgroups at least, are a great tool for our history. Ricardo
