That's a horrible package name. :( Is "2.4" is the "so" version or what?
Do all Linux (or *NIX) distributions name libsoup that way? It doesn't appear that Debian packages it this way: http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libsoup Is libsoup-2.4 older or newer than libsoup-2.23? Hey, this is actually wrong I'm afraid. The API name is 'libsoup-2.4' which is arguably a bad idea on the side of the library author. The actual version is something else, in this case 2.23.
