It is absolutely possible to build WebKit in VisualStudio (I did it), you have to choose proper build configuration (see here: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31000) I built WebKit on my laptop with 2GB memory and you don't need QuickTime SDK to build WebKit
