I built WebKit Cairo port(using Cario_Release) successfully in my laptop with 2G memory. At the linking Action the link.exe used almost 1.6G memory ! Unfortunatlly, my OS is Windows Vista service pack 2. So the link.exe always told me "Out of memory".
At the end, I started my Vista in safy mode (not use network). The linking action done succeeded. You can use some configuations(eg. Release Debug Cario_Release) to build WebKit what you want. I have some suggestions for u: No1. Always using show path, especially DO NOT put your WebKit into a path with spaces(eg. C:\My Documents). NO2. Cygwin must be in C:\Cygwin, except you change your VC projects pre-build event scripts. NO3. You should have a powerful PC with large size memory, >= 3G is better. NO.4 Don't forget to install QuickTime SDK. I'v not heard anybody can build WebKit successfully by once.
