I think it would be nice to be a Site-Resources site. It should be an AAUW site. It would be better for one step shopping so to speak than to have to go to another non-AAUW site. Nancy, you have done a great job getting us into the new era of online help. Just dealt with this on the bbvx.org sites -- I took the opportunity to mothball a couple (election2009.bbvx.org and the late, lamented trouble ticket system for the beta test of the MPP) and to rebuild others to make sure all the pieces were up to date (change.bbvx.org has a new, more generic, look and feel). But before tackling wiki.bbvx.org, I'd like to ask for comments from those on this list. Would it be better if it were - - taken over by AAUW (or at least migrated to a Site Resources site)? - migrated to a "hosted" wiki somewhere else It's now running on the same software that drives MediaWiki. While that's a benefit in itself (people who learn to use one know how to use the other), over the last few years, more user-friendly wiki platforms have cropped up -- and since they are "hosted" recovery from an attack is entirely outside the scope of those who are adding content. For those of you who don't know wiki.bbvx.org it's a system where we (primarily I) have been posting tech resources and other AAUW related resources for several years as a complement to aauw.org. I'm particularly looking for comments from members of the Social Media committee and the Leadership Corps who might be interested in "adopting" the project in a more formal way. -Nancy --- You are currently subscribed to webmgrs as: ann.mac...@gmail.com.
