Thank you very much for your response, just one last clarification if you don't mind. The server will be in production to deliver secure and sensitive services. So, these two applications need to be separated completely in term of traffice via ip address and port (in the same machine).

There is the public IP address to Apache and the internal IP and port behind that. It is the IP to Apache that should matter.

Each application has its own DNS and four instances to be configured in Java monitor. Is it possible to use WOPort and HOHost with the configuration which you suggest? Please, if you can provide me as much as information in that regard I really appreciate it.

JavaMonitor will manage the port numbers. A port number is unique on a machine. You will configure the WOHost in JavaMonitor.

Configure the same application in JavaMonitor twice (the .woa name does not have to match the name in Java Monitor) with different configurations. Use Apache virtual hosts to ensure that requests through a specific IP use the correct application name.

Hello Mark,
I am after some help to create two sites in one machine. Each site has its own ip address. The document in http://developer.apple.com/documentation/WebObjects/Deployment/Deploying_Applications/ does not detail the steps for that. My specific question is how we can create an additional wotaskd process to create a second site (a separate group of wotaskd processes). I think I can do the rest if I know that. My environment is Mac OS Xserver 10.5.6 with webobjects version 5.4.3 and apache 2.2. Any details will be appreciated. I really need your help to resolve that.

I would like to run the same WO application on two different static ip addresses and each one access a different database. Each ip address has to a different DNS. I followed the webobjects deployment guide and used apache.conf to define the WO adaptor as following:

WebObjectsConfig http://<ip-address1>:1085,http://<ip-address 2>: 1085 10

I configured the java monitor for both ip addresses. Only one application can start from one ip address while the other one is keep failing and can’t be started.

Wondering if anyone can help with some information to fix that problem or reconfigure the environment properly. Thx
