We run primarily on Safari and Ajax.framework "works first" on
Safari, so there's definitely something suspicious when you say
updateContainerID doesn't work. You should watch the requests and
responses in FireBug (no idea what Drosera can do) and see what gets
sent and what comes back.

I use updateContainerID all the time on AjaxSubmitButton, so it
definitely works. This makes me think you might not be up to date.

What exact revision number are you using (i.e. on the build server,
3.0.0.250, etc)? I would recommend downloading a recent build from
webobjects.mdimension.com/wonder and try again.
