The main difference is that Monitor and wotaskd can be started from Server Admin and launchd on Server, on OS X "Client", you can it with /System/Library/StartupItems/WebObjects. You also need to install WO on "client", deployment stuff is already installed on Server. _______________________________________________
are you really sure ? Using a brand new server, I'm not able to run a wo app before having installed Xcode + WebObjects on it. even the folder /Library/WebObjects/Applications is only created after this install. If you know a better way, I would happy to learn it (maybe I should read the deploy doc again, damn).
