I would suggest that you leave the legacy frameworks and move to the jars frameworks they have been available since 5.2 and are located in the user space under /Library/WebObjects/lib.
I had noticed these and was wondering why they were considering that they seemed to be duplicates of the /System frameworks.
But I thoughts I would worry about that some other time.
These are functionally equivalent to the legacy frameworks.
I'm not sure configure eclipse/wolips/ant to use these instead of the / System frameworks during wolips development?
The wolips/woprojects (and the WONDER) build infrastructure makes it easy to switch WO version by just pointing the wo.wosystemroot property to the appropriate folder.
I don't suppose I can point it to the /Library/WebObjects/lib folder since I think the build infrastructure expects frameworks and the specific Library/Frameworks layout.
Also there was an interesting thread yesterday on the WOLips mailing list (Re: [OS-JIRA] Closed: (WOL-722) Selecting a framework in "System" that is also in "Local" doesn't work), where if I understood correctly some (including Anjo, Mike and Chuck, no less :-) expressed reservation about using the jar framewoks in /Library/WebObjects/lib/.
I would be interested in reading your comments on that subject.
I would also recommend that you embed them in you app (you can do that with any version of WO > 5.2).
That's certainly what I plan to do when it comes to deployment. Thanks a lot for your suggestions, they are much appreciated. = tmk = _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
