What happens if you create a new workspace? It could be that your
workspace has gotten corrupted. I have had that happen, though not
recently.
It does sound like a time out though. Are you connected to your
usual network and the internet? Have you installed any other plugins?
Yeah ... remove variables here. New workspace would be key. After
that you can try to jstack the eclipse process and see what it's
actually doing during that hang.
