An alternative idea is to just webex/whatever the conference. There is a cost there as well, but then the slides/sound is both live and there for posterity. GoToMeeting, others exist. The plus here is that attendees can submit questions as well as call in if we enable that. I believe many allow sound to go web-only and thus avoid the nastiness of international call-in.
