You generally wouldn't integrate it into your application for what you
are trying to do. You would use it offline as part of the build/
deployment process.
From what you have described, you should be able to either simply
replace the existing component class with a new one or rename the
existing class (you can do this using javaassist) and subclass it with
a new class of the same name to achieve what you want to do.
