You can add this to the list of things that don't work in 5.4. When using the adaptorValueConversionClassName "converts" the value by assigning it to the java.lang.reflect.Method object represented by the conversion method; it doesn't ever invoke the method. And it doesn't even find the correct method because it looks for one with no arguments, which is useless. I guess no one ever tried to actually run that code after writing it. I'll file a radar. John
