Let me just chime in to say that giving a presentation to your peers is an amazing thing: - It expands your understanding of the topic (even if you think you have it mastered). - It's a great way to go deep on a *new* topic (need a concrete deadline, this'll give it to you). - It expands your exposure in the community. - It gives you a great addition to your resume - It teaches valuable life and career skills. - I will not lie and say it is not a lot of work, but it is amazingly rewarding.
